DISTRIBUTION
This is one of the natures of God in administering His Kingdom and speaks more volume in the Kingdoms. It is the act of giving. What we HAVE was given according to what was giving out or releases to others. Having discussed about Productivity and Management as the factors that determine what we HAVE. Another key factor that determine what we HAVE as what was GIVEN is as a measure of DISTRIBUTION. In general sense, Distribution is the action of sharing something out among a number of recipients. In economics, it is the way total output, income or wealth is distributed among individuals or among the factors of production (such as labour, land and capital). In terms of labour, it talks more about division of labour, separation of a work process into a number of tasks. It can also mean spreading commodity to the end user reach.
All these definitions are in line with our context of what we HAVE as a measure of what we are able to give out or what we gave out, whether in rendering a service or as a gift. This concept is biblical and much emphasis was made on it by our Lord Jesus Christ and also the early apostles were entrusted to more resources of the Kingdom because of their compliance to this principle of giving and sharing. In Luke 6:38, Jesus said “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” This is a law of Distribution or Giving. What we receive is as a result of what we gave out. If we sow sparingly, we reap sparingly and if we sow bountifully, we shall likewise reap bountifully. Hope we are not confused with Productivity; they are not the same.
In Matthew 19:27- 29, “Then Peter answered and said to Him, “See, we have left all and followed You. Therefore, what shall we have?”. So, Jesus said to them, “Assuredly I say to you, that in the regeneration, when the Son of Man sits on the throne of His glory, you who have followed Me will also sit on twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel. And everyone who has left houses or brothers or sisters or father or mother or wife or children or lands, for My name’s sake, shall receive a hundredfold, and inherit eternal life”. This is another principle under the law of giving or distribution. Giving out all, looking as if what would I have next but God is faithful as long as our heart is right with God in giving, we will receive back, all we have distributed in hundredfold and also inherit eternal life. He who has an ear, let him hear, for our productivity lie on this, according to our faith.
In the early church, this was their practice and great manifestation of God was the evidence. In Acts 4:32-37 “Now the multitude of those who believed were of one heart and one soul; neither did anyone say that any of the things he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common. And with great power the apostles gave witness to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. And great grace was upon them all. Nor was there anyone among them who lacked; for all who were possessors of lands or houses sold them, and brought the proceeds of the things that were sold, and laid them at the apostles’ feet; and they distributed to each as anyone had need. And Joses, who was also named Barnabas by the apostles (which is translated Son of Encouragement), a Levite of the country of Cyprus,having land, sold it, and brought the money and laid it at the apostles’ feet”.
In Act 3:6-7 “Then Peter said, “Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk.”. And he took him by the right hand and lifted him up, and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength. So, he, leaping up, stood and walked and entered the temple with them—walking, leaping, and praising God.”
What we are trying to say is that what we gave out is the measure of what we HAVE. So, what we HAVE was given to us as a measure of what was distributed. We are born to be a channel of blessings to others and the more we distribute God’s blessing to others in any form, the more we HAVE its kind.
I trust our Anointing that teaches, the Holy Spirit to shed more light to us on this subject matter as we read through, it needs deeper understanding of the Spirit of God and His move, so as not to enter into an error like Anania and Sapphaira, and He is the Distributor of gifts.
