PRODUCTIVITY
I sensed an urge within me to shed more light on this subject matter raised briefly when talking about Wealth Creation. Productivity is an economics term which refers to how much output can be produced with a given set of inputs. Productivity increases when more output is produced with the same amount of inputs or when the same amount of output is produced with less inputs. In this contest we are talking about the production, the ability to produce something or render a service in an effective and efficient way. In wealth creation, what we HAVE depends on what was given as a measure of what we were able to produce and what we will also produce out of it. We have it because we produce it, we provide it and we can still produce such again and again. It is within our reach. The question is how I produced it and how can I increase its productivity to HAVE it in ABUNDANCE for the purpose of wealth creation remain our concern which Holy Spirit will unveil to us.
Now, this thing we HAVE is our seed and bread which we must be able to refine as a crude oil. Bread is for eating, which is good for our Soulical and Physical Wealth – ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’ and Seed is for sowing, good for Spiritual Wealth and others. Wealth creation is a principle of sowing a seed in a good ground. We must be able to identify which one is seed and which one is bread to be able to channel it to the kind of wealth intending to create.
Biblical productivity is well explained by our Lord Jesus Christ in two or three of His parables relating to the Kingdom of God. In the parable of Sower explained in Mark 4:20 “But these are the ones sown on good ground, those who hear the word, accept it, and bear fruit: some thirtyfold, some sixty, and some a hundred.” What has taken place in this verse is the issue of productivity. So, let ask us question why the same input was given with different outputs? What could have contributed to this, is the secret the Holy Spirit is unveiling to us. In the first instance, we can see the reason why all were productive; they were sown on good ground. And this good ground signified those that hear the word and agree with it and act upon it. This tell us that nothing can be produced if one’s hearing faculty is faulty or not correct to the point of agreement. So, what we have or was given to us was as a result of what we listen to or who we listen to in life and accepted. Take heed to what you hear, your productivity depends on what you hear. What have you been hearing from your childhood till now determine what you have or what was given to you.
In the second instance, Mark 4:22- 23 says “For there is nothing hidden which will not be revealed, nor has anything been kept secret but that it should come to light. If anyone has ears to hear, let him hear.” This is serious, if anyone has ears to hear, let him hear – and this is the secret being revealed. Many times, when Jesus was making emphasis on taking heed or he who has ear to hear, we sometimes take it lightly, but it is a matter of our productivity. In verse 24, “Then He said to them, take heed what you hear. With the same measure you use, it will be measured to you; and to you who hear, more will be given”. This tells us further the reason why same was sown but some received thirtyfold, sixty and hundredfold, it was because of the rate at which they paid attention to hearing of the word, the measure of their productivity. So, the rate of their understanding of the word different, and the level at which they acted upon differs because of the level of their hearing. So, what was given to us was because of how we take heed to hear, which has come to us in different forms. This has become a law as in verse 25, “For whoever has, to him more will be given, but whoever does not have, even what he has will be taken away from him”
In another parable of the growing seed, Jesus explained further the Kingdom of God as if a man should scatter seed on the ground, and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how .(Mark 4:26-27). This is the outcome of our faith, and faith comes by hearing, hearing the word of God. Also, in the parable of mustard seed which, when it is sown on the ground, is smaller than all the seeds on earth but when it is sown, it grows up and becomes greater than all herbs, and shoots out large branches, so that the birds of the air may nest under its shade. (Mark 4:31-21). So, what matter about our seed is faith not because it is small, and the booster of faith is hearing good word which is the word of God. For the just shall live by faith.
It is good to know that we determine what we have. If you what to increase the capacity of what you have, increase in the magnitude of hearing good things of God, agree with it and act upon it, then the Lord will increase what He has given unto us. Let us take note that we only talk about Productivity and not even talk about Management and Distribution which are the factors that determine what we HAVE.
May the Lord granst us the deeper understand of how to increase our productivity for wealth creation in Jesus name. Amen
Praise God! Amen
