Sowing and Harvesting
There’s surely time for everything for every purpose on the earth. Time to sow and to harvest what was sown which are all blessings from the Lord and there can’t be an harvest time without a time of sowing.
The beauty of sowing is in the seed and the beauty of harvest is the fruit. No seed, no sowing and no harvest, no fruit.
The kind of seed sown is the kind of fruit harvested. A man can’t sow a weed and harvest wheat, it is not possible. What a man sow, he will reap when the harvest is riped. A lazy man does not sow, he loves sleeping when others work and fold his hands to watch others sowing, and he becomes poor ( poor in knowledge, in wealth, in understanding, in wisdom, in health etc) while diligent hands are made strong in sowing, dressing, watering his seed to grow for the time of harvest. He is expectant of good things of God, he watches and waits patiently for the God of harvest to increase and multiply the seed he has down. He does his seed in faith for that is the language of the harvest, for without faith, it’s impossible to please God of harvest and also this God is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. He rewards according to the seed sown whether good or evil, at the harvest time, the time of judgement.
One of the laws of sowing and reaping according to Hosea 10:12: sow for yourselves righteousness, reap in mercy, break up your fallow ground, for it is time to seek the Lord, till He comes and rains righteousness on you. Verse 13 says; You have plowed wickedness, you have reaped iniquity. You have eaten the fruit of lies, because you trusted in your own way, in the multitude of your men.
What kind of seed are you sowing into your life, your work and your neighbor close to you. The word you speak and your actions are the seeds you are sowing into your life, your work and the life of others. If you speak and act tightly, you reap in mercy of God for God of harvest, shows mercy to whom He will show mercy upon
Cultivate the habit of speaking the word of God into life, your work and into the life of others, and you shall reap peace. The truth of life is that, what seeing happening around us is as a result of the word spoken by us or by other, or action taken by us or by others towards us. But there is till another law of harvest that counter the word or action taken against us by others if you know it and believe in it for that is your righteousness, one of it says, he who digs a pit will fall into it and he who rolls a stone will have it roll back on him ( Prov 26:27). Also, according to Lamentations 3:37; who is he who speaks and it comes to pass, when the Lord has not command it? Isaiah 8:10 says “take counsel together, but it come to nothing; speak the word, but it will not stand, for God is with us”, as long as you’re not walking in their way.
Though right now some are sowing with tears but there is consolation for us in Psalm 126:5-6, regarding another law of harvest, those who sow in tears shall reap in joy, he who continually goes forth weeping, bearing seed for sowing, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.
So keep on speaking the word of God to every situation of life, don’t look at the weather, if you do, you will not sow, though it might be painful and cost you a lot, it is a sacrifice for reaping bountifully. The Lord is our strength.
