DEFILEMENT
This is a serious issue that needs serious attention and how we handle it, is of great important to be relevant and known in the kingdom we stand for. God wants us to be holy as He is holy. This is what qualifies us to stand in His presence. The matter of holiness is in the state of our heart. The beauty of the heart is an attraction to the things of God and an ugly state of the heart, an attraction to the things of demons. Our bodily beauty is an attraction to human. To be attractive bodily, we ensure proper hygiene, cleanness and ensure to command the attention and the respect of people. We make great effort to achieve this, even at a cost.
To be in favour with God and man, our state of heart must be beautiful and holy, and our body must be presented holy and beautiful. Our spirit, soul and body must be presented blameless, correct and worthy of honour. So, what effort are we taken to ensure this.
Several efforts should be made in guiding against defilement. When the order at which spirit, soul and body of a man relate is violated, a man is defiled, he has lost the control of himself and he becomes rebellion. Anything that can find its way into the heart of a man, from his body, to violate the order, has defiled the person. We are saddled with responsibility to ensure that what come from outside, does not get to the heart to control us but only that, which is of the Spirit of God. The door of our heart must always be closed to impulses from outside of the body. And only open to allow that which is good, acceptable and perfect will of God to enter, to ponder and think upon. Our thought must be regulated and limited to the thought of God for our life, our emotional feelings should always be in the state of rejoicing, our will must be His will, His desires and our conscience should be of good knowledge of God.
What are we allowing to enter our gates; (Ear, Eye, Touch) hearing, seeing, feeling is very important to take note of. We are to regulate and know what is passing through our hearing, seeing and feeling senses and control its movement to get or not to get to the heart.
Let guide against defilement of the heart and the body and always presented ourselves holy before the Holy God and also His people in our godly relationship with them to be at peace with them, as we are at peace with ourselves and with God. It is well with our spirit, soul and body in Jesus name. Amen
