In the world there is competition and to match up with the race we must compete with them but not as they do. While in the kingdom of God there’s no competition for we shared things in common with the Master Jesus. So, we must be ready to think differently from the world if we are to compete and to win. Knowing for sure that the thought of a man can defile him and making him unholy if it’s born out of flesh and disconnect him from God. Likewise, what a man purposed even before it was carried out.
It becomes our duty to have a right thinking faculty, our mind must be channelled towards the things of God in heavenly where Christ is seated at the right hand of the Father and not of the things of the flesh if we will not allow the world to outsmart us from winning the race. We must not compete on the same ground which they were very smart in.
We don’t need to seek the great things the world seek after but allow God to make us great in His sight as He pleases by giving us life, life in abundance.
The ultimate purpose of God for us is to be with Him, think of Him, speak His words and doing His work, while He supplies our needs. He is the Good Shepherd who will shepherd His flocks and leads them to the fountains of living waters. We are not of the world, so set your mind on the things of God, seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and don’t stop seeking then every other things shall be added to you.
Let ensure that our thoughts and purpose in life will not make us unfit to stand before Him. It was the thought of Lucifer that corrupted him and made him unfit for the presence of God. There’s joy in the presence of God that nothing in this world can match with. So, think of things of God that draw you to His presence and do away with things that the world cherish that draw one away from His presence, even it might looks good and innocent.Put off the old garments of fornication, uncleanness, passion, evil desire and covetousness which is idolatry, anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, filthy language from your mouth, do not lie with one another and put on the new garment which is holy, yielding yourself to Christ in tender mercies, kindness, humility, meekness, long-suffering, bearing with one another, forgiven one another and put on love, the bond of perfection Whatever you do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus as Jesus never speaks of His own accord and does nothing of His own accord but only speaks what the Father speaks and does what the Father does, so do likewise and whatever your hand finds to do, do it heartily as to the Lord and not to men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance for we serve the Lord. We all have a good inheritance only in Christ Jesus, so think rightly and let the things of God be your thinking not the great things of the world, the world looks after.Praise God! Amen
