This is a stage every born again Christian should attain. It is a time a believer attained in eating solid foods, grow in them and increase in wisdom and in the grace of God. This stage does not attain by age neither by the level of accomplishment, it is only by complete obedience to the word of God, even in a turbulent time.
It is much more important to know the truth, grounded in the truth and walk accordingly. We should stop living as a child, for in this end time, it is more dangerous. In this time, we are to walk circumspectly as a wise not as a fool. Matt.24.19 says ” And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck in those days!”. This is the time the church be aiming to produce matured believers and not to be embracing children in our congregations.
What is that prompting our service to the Lord? Is it money, fame, position, material things, what people will say or envy? If any of these, you are still a child and not yet matured. Jesus called His disciples children for two reasons, for not discerning the time of His visitation, not to recognize Him when He was so near with them and for not following His instructions and commandments. John.21.4- 5 says “But when the morning was now come, Jesus stood on the shore: but the disciples knew not that it was Jesus. Then Jesus saith unto them, Children, have ye any meat? They answered him, No.” They were first instructed to stay in Jerusalem for empowerment of Holy Spirit but when Jesus was no more in their thinking, they resolved to go back fishing leaving the divine mandate behind them- a childish attitude.
If you are still a baby, this is a call for you to long for maturity in Christ Jesus, for it is mandatory for every born again believers to grow and increase in the wisdom and the grace of God then we will attain maturity and at His coming, rapturable.
“And Jesus increased in wisdom and stature, and in favor with God and man” Luke 2: 52. May the Lord help us to increase in wisdom and stature and in favor with God and man in Jesus name. Amen.
Praise God! Amen
